About Slate
Yup, Slate is my real name. I’ve been obsessed with art, collectibles, vintage posters, television and film memorabilia, music artifacts, and rare books since I was a kid. After almost 20 years as an Art/Creative Director, I founded Slate of Los Angeles as an alternative to auction houses that, simply put, don’t care about you or your stuff. We’re specialized and small (there’s only three of us) which means you’re a lot more important to us than the snooty billion dollar art houses or the liquidation houses that will sell anything.
